Which radio is better? Which radio does more watts and has louder audio? I have the 2970 DX and ive had NOTHING but positive reports from it from everyone i talk to... Im just curious about the 95T.. Loooks like a real winner so far to me!!!!! |

From what I've read the 95T blows smoke plus it has the best large scale meter hands down. I will own that radio someday. mikefromms |

Well there is a Major Difference here. The 2970DX is a 10 and 12 Meter Radio and Opened will also cover the 11 Meter band. The 2970DX has Far More feature's than the 95T. The 2970DX offers NB/ANL / Roger Beep / Split Switch / Program Switch / Manual Switch / Shift Switch / Up/Down Selector / Lock Switch / Enter Switch / Memory Switch / Scan Switch / SWR Switch / and Dim Switch and Up/Down Channel Selector on the Mic. The 95T is a 10 Meter Radio that when Opened will also cover 11 Meter's. While both are VERY GOOD Radio's they are in a Completely Different Class. One is designed to offer Hams the Feature's that Ham's look for and the other offer's Feature's that the CBer look's for.

The 95T has a hi-gain pre-amp for the audio already built in, I verified this with tech support. SO when you add your power mic, you have 2 amplifiers amplifying your audio...Watch Out!! |

No it is not,BUT,I like the clarity of the d-104 mike head so I turn the mike pot all the way down and apply two marks opposite each other with a felt pen then turn the pot open the width of the mark or twice that, that's all I need and I don't over drive the little internal preamp or splatter all over the place.Bigbob |
