You might want to post this in the "ASK THE TECH AREA" under the Topic "Ham Gear".
There are a lot of member's who do not read the Open Area of the Forum as it is a nite mare to try and find a question or answer and with so many post's coming in each day.
Your Question or Post can get pushed to the bottom real quick.
With around 100 or more a day, and over 700 post's a week it does not take long for Post's to get moved off the main page.

IN MY OPINION
This is a very nice radio however it is old enouth that it is not supported anymore. Unless you need 2/440 I would recomend the IC-T2 Icoms SPORT model @ $80-90 bucks new. There are 10's of thousands of them all ready out there and batterys, chargers, mikes ect are easy to find. AVOID radioshack ANYTHING for my htx-420 you cant buy the battery case and i tried when the unit was 1 WEEK old. |
