Bob, I assume you mean kilowatt and not megawatt. Do you have UHF (PL 259's) connectors for the RG-217? They may be hard to find. For that matter I am not finding many people who have the cable. If you have a long run, you may be better off with Belden 9913 or even Andrew Heliax 1/2" cable.

Hi John. You need 6 inch or larger Heliax for your megawatt. It is available from Tessco or Talley. The connectors are difficult to install, but it can be done after a little practice. |

Hey 833, do they make a cable prep tool for the 6 inch? And cost? I can't even imagine. The list on 1 5/8" connectors is over $200 EACH, let alone 6 inchers. |

I just worked with 3 1/8 yesterday. I have not installed any 6 inch since about 1998. There is no 'prep tool' I am aware of. You simply use your brain and tape measure. And chain wrenches. |
