Now that we have disclosed what radios we have what type of antenna is hanging on the back of them to get that precious signal out there and at what height is it mounted? Base: At 30ft. above the garage on a tilt over tower a "Station Master" 11 Metres 1/2 wave vertical omni-directional with 50ft of Belden 9913 feed line At 40ft. on a crank up self supporting mast: a MFJ G5RV for all band HF a Diamond X510 for HAM UHF and VHF At 12ft. a magnet mount on the iron roof of the house for 2 Metres APRS/UI View Mobile:All at 5ft. Navman: satelite mushroom for APRS Diamond NR 770: VHF/UHF Wilson 1000:tuned for the low end of 26Mhz. Fortex Stealth: an extra large "bugcatcher"for 160M to 10M Best of DX to all! |

I got only base antennas. Cushcraft X9 wit 40m addon kit, 3el. monobander for 20m, 5 el. yagi for 11m, Antron99, Diamond X300, various wire antennas. Almost all are on 15m tower. Mike |

- Homebrew 7 element long boom on 6 meters - Cushcraft 4218XL on 2 meters SSB - Qty 4 homebrew 19 element yagis stacked on H-Frame for 432MHz - Dipoles for 160~15 meters - A99 for 12 and 10 meters (the Ringo on top bit the dust several months ago) - Tower-top preamps for 2 meters and 432MHz in the box at the top of the tower - 1" hardline on 2 and 432, RG-213 everywhere else.

Bruce, you're just jealous! I wish I had pictures of the stacked 5 element Long Johns that used set there in the early 80's. Heck, I wish I still had the Long Johns setting there!!! |

Heck yea im jealous! i still have a photo of stacked 11 elm on 2 from the mid 60's and my tower with a 4el 6 and stacked 9 elm 220's from the early 70's.... the good old days ..... before floridas new building codes. |

I used to know a guy in McMillan Mi.that had several antennas on top of a tower just like MrRF's except his bottom was a 2 element beam for 80 meters,my gawd,the boom sagged badly and it had to be 40 or 60 feet long,biggest 2 element I ever seed. |
