yeah mine is the 100 watter too. on my end it looks like it's transmitting fm. on the recieve end, you see the carrier but no audio. i thought about sending it to rf limited and they no longer do any service work doorman |

I'm in the club also. I have the 100 watt model. I have tested the AM, but I only really use it for SSB in a mobil installation, but as far as I know it all works fine. |

I do have a question for you guys. Are your 3500s really noisy on AM on receive like mine is? I know there is a mod out there that you can quiet the receiver without hurting the receive sensitivity. |

Mine is pretty noisy. But isn't that the nature of the beast? But like I said, I don't really use AM or FM at all. |

i love my ar-3500. i use it mostly ssb, and am occasionly. i added the frequency scan mic (sm-2) and a variable power (cw-2). some of the locals around here use fm and mine doesn't work. 10 years ago the local repair men wouldn't touch it when i bought it DOA. So, i sent it to rf limited and they did an awesome job with it. from the looks of the work sheet it was a basket case. anyway just wondering if anyone had any problems with fm audio not working. everything else works great. 73's doorman |

oh yeah, the noise on am is like every other rig. a lot of overmodulated radios that bleed four states away. lol.. i'm thinking of installing the "channel guard" in mine. 4 wire hook up and from what i read about it, it sounds like it should clean up the bleed over. have a good one, doorman |

wow, i can't stay away. if i replaced the radio, i would go for the magnum 357. it's a whole lot smaller version. i found the 357 for $339.95 plus shipping. 73's again, doorman |

Im interested in that channel guard. Might clear up my receive a bit. I think a lot of my problems are cause by bleed from truckers on a nearby interstate highway. I use AM as much if not more than SSB.. |

3885 the channelguard will drop bleedover about 5 S units at 3 or more channles away from the interfering station. I have run them in a number of radios including my grantLT and measured the diffrence with a good geneator. If the interfering station is running a trashed out station it will still help but not as much follow instructions you can do it your self. |

Who sells them? I think it might be a good investment. |
