Allagator, I have not seen the inside of the "NEW LINCOLN" as yet, but I would guess the only changes is in the the year they were Made and the RED button for DIM and the YELLOW button for SCAN. This is all I can tell from the Pictures, BUT! I will have one here next week, and will check EVERYTHING OUT! My HR2510 was made in the Philippines, WAYYYYYYYYYY Back in time. And still work's GREAT! ***BRUCE,*** jump in here and help as you have one of the new ones. Lon Tech808 |

I know that the newer Lincolns have an MRF455 for a final, instead of the 477, which is getting hard to find. They also have "automatic squelch control", which I don't think the older models had. |

I'm not Bruce...but..I can tell you as a previous Lincoln owner (1990 circa) that the font (yes the font) on the front of the rig spelling "Lincoln" has changed. The old spelling used a different style font...hey...it's what I do for a living ok?? I JUST got mine hooked up tonite tied to an Antron stamped from Jan. 1991 (made in Ohio!!) that I took out of hibernation of 6 years this morning...and from everything else (barring the inside chip that now a "a" series [1201]) it seems like the same one I knew back when I bought my old one. No stamp of where it originated from, but hints it's from France...but didn't the Coneheads say that too? ;) Good old faithful rig...buy one and you'll enjoy! I am now! 73 |

I was talking about the main board..The amplifier board is new however the rest of the radio is the same. The reason for the change is the MRF455 is no longer in production so they use an MRF455 mounted to a small board in the back of the radio. 307 |
