Not sure if they are really worth repairing or not but I figure if it can be done, it will keep me from having to buy one, When I install it into my radio ( that it has already been in and worked fine,) it just squeals loudly when I turn it on and it does not let audio go through, I installed it to specs just as I did before but it just squeals, That is the reason I took it out in the first place, but was just wondering were to start looking for a bad resistor or cap maybe somewere, thanx 73's barakuda |

Most Echo Boards that you "install" will squeal if the coax leads are not as short as possible. I see them all the time in the shop where a truck stop will install one and instead of trimming the leads , they tape it up in a ball...Feedback in most cases comes from a ground loop in the Audio Circuit. A common echo board has no way of generating the squeal , it comes from the installation. 307 |
