If I have only one low pass filter where should I run it for low tvi? Running dx2517 with klv350. Should it go behind the radio before the box or behind the box for best results? Getting lots of talk on phone line in the house. |

Yosimity Hook it up between KLV-350 and antenna. Use a six foot jumper. I have found this works best for me. The jumper I mean. Always put the filter between amp and antenna. If you are using an external watt meter put it between the filter and antenna. Hope this helps |

Some people put a second low pass between radio and amp, to supress harmonics coming from the radio before they get amplified by the amp. Makes sense to me, but I've never tried it. Also, when I first installed mine (post-amp), wacky stuff happened until I grounded the case of the filter with the rest of the gear. |

I recommend two Low-Pass filters, one coming out of the radio, and the other coming out of the amplifier. Bleeding telephones can happen even if the station is "clean as a whistle" and not transmitting ANY unwanted harmonic frequencies. Placing a vertical antenna too near to the ground is a popular way to bleed telephones. A height of 50 feet or more will often help when inline filters don't. 73 |
