I got dual antennas on my truck and for some reason the swr's are swaying between between 1.5 and 2.1 when they are flapping in the wind. Is there anything I can do to change this. |

Ryan, if you are driving and this happens, that is what you might expect. If you are not moving and the wind causes this kind of problem, then you probably have something loose. Eddie Marconi |

Ryan, Thru experience, I have found that the circular motion of the antenna while the truck is moving, caused by changing wind directions, causes the stud to work loose at the mount. The cure is to take it apart, clean all fittings, and use a 5/8" star washer at the ground side of the mount when reinstalling. I have always carried spare stainless steel HD studs with the star washers. Don't use lock washers! The torque required to properly tighten will damage the threads and not give a complete contact. I read where they need to be at least 8 feet apart in order to get a true reading. |

What type of ant. are you using? The bigger heavier ants. have a tendancy to work loose. The Wilsons, and those big coil ants. I forget the name, but if youre using fiber glass, like fire stick, k-40 or francis, than I would say you have a coax problem. Check the pl connectors at the ant. |
