Radio Days Are Back: Ham Radio Licenses at an All-Time High The newest trend in American communication isn't another smartphone from Apple or Google but one of the elder statesmen of communication: Ham radio licenses are at an all time high, with over 700,000 licenses in the United States, according to the Federal Communications Commission. Of course it's "GOlden". The only easier way of getting a license for this "technical" hobby, would be to give it away with Cereals. Is quantity really better than quality?? to be honest do we really have either today?? How many of those licenses are actually active?? My ex if licensed and has not been active in over 5 years.
