I have a Cobra 29 . The problem is it shows no output watts on the watt meter, or on the radios meter. When you key up the mic in SWR/CAL it will not move the needle on the radio. All so if the CB is in SRF mode it will not move the needle on the external watt meter. I can here myself through the Talk back. I put a scope on the Final and the driver and I see RF on both. I all so checked the final (2078) with my DVM and it checked good. I all so checked the final with my transistor tester and it tested good. Has anyone seen this before. I have a extra cb on bench and no antenna on it I can here my self on the bench cb when I key up but no watts on radios meter or watt meter . Thanks in advance for any help troubleshooting this problem. |

How much (Peak to peak) does the scope show on the finals? Is this into a dummy load or antenna?? When connected to an antenna, can other people hear and how far away?? Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?
