Magnum is more of professionally built styled radio. It's SSB quality is ham radio quality. I've owned two. Receive is also cleaner on Magnum. The only thing Galaxy may have on Magnum is bleeding loud am, but why bleed and be so loud no one can understand your message? |

The Magnum line of radios is okay until you need service and then most of the time it . Sam Lewis definately needs to change this end of his business. I really like his radios, but I sold every one I had because of the service. Had a lot of problems this way. |

I've used the Galaxy and Magnum radios every since they've been on the market and had very few problems with either. If they are set up right, I don't think the people listening could tell which you were using, they are so close. After about 5 years of use I did have a problem with one Magnum. I emailed them and asked about it, they told me the shop in California to send it. I sent it there, about 10 days later it was back and fixed. No problems since them. |
