We now have some members prepared to dedicate some time to controlling the CEF Nets , please read the post : Copper Talk » CEF Net Connections » CEF NET CONTROLLERS !!! The nets can now be started again but with limited net control at moment but with present conditions on the bands it should be interesting . Tech858/Jim MM0TXO Wavin' a hand from Scotland

If This isn't the right place to post this forgive me. I have a suggestion, Would it work better for the CEF Net if we only had ONE Net control for each net and then appoint others to be relays? (Most Ham nets are run this way and works great). We could run it as a list operation by taking CEF #'s for CB and Call signs for Ham for the 1st 30 min's of the net. Then go down the list giving each a 2 attempt 1 call to make a contact with someone they heard. Let me know what you think of this. I would even be glad to start as the net controller taking check in's and would even work with Forum Master on a NET PREAMBLE. Then if this works out others can be net control the following weeks. |

We could give it a try George due to the lack of controllers for now and it should work ok with the conditions we have at the moment , if you take net control this weekend to see how it is gonna work out then we can take it from there . Perhaps it would work better if Allen and Jason and any other members logged into CVC if they can . Tech858/Jim MM0TXO Wavin' a hand from Scotland

I'll give it a go on 10 meter net for starters this coming Sunday. I'll also have CVC going. I will also assign a couple of relays as I hear them. Hope it turns out to be a good if not great net. |
