I am looking for a radio that has side band but is as loud and clear as a general lee needs to be low drive to drive a amp. |

Are you wanting a 40 Channel CB or one of those other kind of radios? If you want a 40 channel cb, try to find a Uniden Grant or Cobra with SSB.
