Hello, My question is a galaxy dx 959 can it be modified to have extra channels if so what freq.?

WHY?
I had 2 of them if you want a radio to go outside of CB get a mag-257.
They can be modded but you wind up with some up and some down .... the 257 goes 25-30 right out of the box ...
They are a OK CB radio thet looks NICE .....

You CAN mod them but what is the point ?
You get +/- 40 ch and have more money that a MAG-257 ...

I'm with Bruce on this one.
If you want to talk outside the CB band, buy a radio that does it out of the box. By the time you buy the 959 and then pay to have the conversion done, you could have had an export that already has the channels installed (just need to be enabled) for the same or less money.
