I am considering this rig next as my next purchase; was wondering if anyone can offer an opinion based on personal experience? |

as long as you pay close att. to the manual for setup you wont go far wrong i got mine a year ago & it is a great radio for under 1500.00 i also joined the yahoo group & there is a ton of good infor there |

I know a fellow ham that has the FT-950 and he has the display screen with his rig and could display audio scope and band scope and a whole bunch other things. I was very inpressed. I did get to use it for hour and i didint push any buttons though,(Didint want mess what i doint know about). Did do some CW and Usb and all gave me a 5/9 report. Been a Kenwood fan for a long time (old 520 ts) my upgrade is a Icom 728 doint have all the bell and whisles the ft-950 has. When i seen the ft-950 and his screen im thinking $5000. I didint ask him? I liked it ! Wish i could buy one, In fact that would be my next radio im thinking. I know i didint help much. But thats all i know!

I looked one before I bought the TS-2000 almost bought it ..... but I dosnt cover 2 meters that was why I went for the TS-2000.
Otherwise one nice radio.
