i got some slip on jumpers ! yes they are slipon's ! no way to screw them on ! ive seen them for tv jumpers but never in the form of a pl-259 setup ! are they any good ! or do i need to trash them and keep the old amp that was in the bottom ! LOL the amp is a older amp mobile cause it has some big wires out of the back and has 3 6lq6 tubes in it ! (i dont think it took them cause there is a hole cut in the top ) but im not shure if i can use them slip on jumpers or not ! but it mite be handy for a quick check of a radio ! Thanks for any info ! Allagator, I agree with Starface and Personally I would just pitch them in the trash. And as you have seen when you were here visiting I ONLY use Jumpers that I have Personally Made and Tested and I ONLY use S.I.W. (Superior Insulated Wire) Coax for EVERYTHING. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

I guess you could put a hose clamp on it to hold it in place. But I would trash 'em. |

They are very handy for bench work. Lou Franklin even recommends them |

I know this is an old topic, but I was scanning through, and thought I would add my own two cents worth. Slip ons are good for ONLY one thing, and that is bench testing in a service environment. They do not have the grip strength to keep them connected to a radio in use, and the poor connection introduces some loss into the equation. If you ever see these things, avoid them at all costs UNLESS you are making jumpers for "on the bench" testing, and nothing else. |
