this is the only thing i found there might be more out there. Transmitting on the WARC bands As supplied, The ts-130S/V will receive but not transmit on the three warc bands. For tx enable on all three bands unplug the brown wire j5 on the rf unit. This is the board with the shaft from the band switch running above it. For individual bands D8 for 10 MHz D9 " 18 MHz D10 " 24.5 MHz |

It is possible that the TS130 being around the same vintage as the FT102 may use diode switching to make band changes. This is easy to do if you know about binary functions.I had a FT102 that I used on 11 meters that I did the conversion but the display still showed 28 mhz.I don,t think that the 130 uses any crystals like some of the older rigs. There should be some info out there on a 11 meter mod, I will take a look and if I find any I will let you know. You can get 1 free download every 24 hours but I think that you must register first and it should be free to register. BobCEF451/VE1CZ Robert L. Spicer The days of radio are just beginning!

I was told there is something on the rf borad that causes erratic tx power. If i have the top case off it will do a ful shot to 100+w for a few shouts then it drops off like no power. Now if i put the top case back on it will lose 30w and has swing in it like a tuned cb now i don't know what going on. |
